I Married the Wizard of Oz!
Our Adventures in Parapsychology, Paraphysics, and Metaphysics
by Iona Miller, 2001
When I first met Richard Alan Miller in 1976, his career in Parapsychology was in full-swing. We had both come up with a strong background in Theosophy. Not only that, his interests in metaphysics, alchemy and Magick, which paralleled my own, as well as our mutual interests in Jungian and Transpersonal Psychology made us a formidable couple. So click the heels of your Ruby Slippers together three times, and come along for the ride.
Rick was notorious in Seattle, known as the "Emerald City" as their local media-savvy magician/witch and operated Beltane Occult Books and Beltane Herb Co. at the time, centers for a variety of what have come to be known as New Age activities and services. But these were no channeling housewives nor slacker hippies, for Rick was trained as a rigorous scientist, having built a cloud chamber, then a linear accelerator for the national science fair in high school, and a plasma jet in college. Clearly he was destined for experimental, rather than theoretical physics. Wherever he went as a "strange attractor," he surrounded himself with an innovative group of individuals.

December 11th NYC, NY
Dear Friends and Colleagues:
Is physics the first "poetry science"? Or is Yoga? Or magick? Not parlor magic, but the physics of living energy. And what does an animist, post-modern physics look like?
For [the second Thursday in] December, we are pleased to have physicist, alchemist and author, Richard Alan Miller, as our session producer. Rick is an amazing polymath, with roots in government "ET" research, new physics, and herbal agriculture. Be prepared for a wealth of knowledge, extraordinary interconnections, and a stream of rare consciousness.
PRESENTATION TOPIC: "Post-Modern Physics 101"
"I plan to discuss my journey as a Physicist and to talk about the various research projects that led me to conclude that the mind and body cannot be separated from any physical experiment.
"This talk will NOT be about "entanglement" or "decoherence" models. Rather, I will argue that consciousness IS the Universe.
"I plan to discuss ESP studies, Orca, and the Real People (Aborigines), and the nature of Cybernetic Anthropology. This limits one to 4-D space, while broader-based models (holographic) lead toward higher "technologies" and more access to the Universe.
"My closing statement will end with something like: "...so as Chemistry has come out of Alchemy, so now Magick will come out of Physics."
"I plan to communicate this by discussing my various research projects over the last 35 years, as well as current studies in contemporary Physics.
"Mostly, this talk will be about my journey toward these conclusions."
PRESENTER BIO: Richard Alan Miller
"Taking a step behind the scenes of 'black ops' research is for most of us limited to speculations. Author and researcher Richard Alan Miller began working in that 'X-Files' world in the '60s and has amazing experiences and conclusions to share. An original team-member, 'man-in-black,' Miller's research in the field of Parapsychology and Paraphysics began as a graduate physicist working 10 years with Army Intelligence/Pentagon.
"During this period numerous foundational papers, including 'A Holographic Concept of Reality' and 'Embryonic Holography' were written. Miller's most recent work, 'Synthetic Telepathy and the Early Mind Wars' discusses how some of his earlier work contributed to new 'mind altering' technologies and describes their current applications.
"Offering fresh perspectives on metaphysical traditions, his books, papers and articles integrate his scientific research with time-honored occult concepts, leading to such works as 'The Modern Alchemist: A Guide to Personal Transformation' and 'The Diamond Body: A Synergetic Approach to Mysticism.' He brings a similar integration to 'The Magical and Ritual Use of Herb' and 'The Magical and Ritual use of Aphrodisiacs.'
"As Merlin once put it in a book by T. H. White, 'Anything not specifically forbidden is mandatory.' Miller is available to offer opinions and insights to the field of metaphysics, but does not want to be seen as a teacher, rather, he seeks colleagues. Toward that end, Miller began the folder 'DrRam and Metaphysics' for AOL and currently teaches Metaphysics for IES (Interactive Educational Services)."
